Misinformation and stigma surrounding sexual violence and abuse creates a society where survivors do not report the crime or get the support that they need. It minimises the crime that has been committed and the impact that is has on the survivor.

Having the right words and facts, and knowing where to turn for support, can make a huge difference to anyone affected by sexual violence and abuse.
