Helpline

This telephone service is provided for women affected by the trauma of childhood sexual abuse. We offer support and information to callers every Thursday evening from 7.30 to 10pm. During the remainder of the week, messages can be left and these are answered daily, Monday to Friday.

All volunteers who answer the telephone have participated in a comprehensive training programme.

Male survivors who call the helpline are offered initial support and given information about more appropriate services available to them.

The Helpline is used by:

  • Women abused in childhood
  • Partners of abused women
  • Friends and family of abused women
  • Mothers whose children are affected by abuse
  • Professionals who work with survivors
